    Usually having the word sardine used to describe your home is a bit insulting and probably said behind your back. In the case of the latest restaurant from the Little Wisco team — behind such spots as Joseph Leonard and Fedora — it’s written right there on the door. The concept there is loosely based on an izakaya, with the spartan but warm decor of a Japanese restaurant and an unconventional menu that swings East and West — which means you can get Spanish mackerel with leeks and potatoes from the sushi bar, a grilled cheese sandwich with foie gras and craft cocktails.
