Miuccia Prada’s ideal house is filled with mod, boxy furniture and urban vistas from oversized windows. This backdrop created by Rem Koolhaas’ firm was a departure from the formal, militaristic direction she took last fall. Like the set, the clothing was casual, colorful, and a little quirky. In other words, quintessentially Prada. There was a nod to the early ‘60s with checked shirts, abbreviated trousers, boxy coats, and slim suits, but the overall tone was thoroughly 21st century. Neutral black and camel allowed the brighter hues of teal, red, and yellow to shine. And the chunky shoes with rubber treads are bound to be a hit this fall.
